Junior Cricket Under 9 - This is your introduction to Saturday cricket. 16 over games on 14m wicket, all players bat, bowl and field equally - focus is on participation and skill development - Games are 90 minutes.

Junior Cricket Stage 1 (U10 and U11) (preferably players can bowl 16m with a straight arm) - 20 over games on 16m wicket, all players bat, bowl and field equally - focus is on participation and skill development - games are two hours.

Junior Cricket Stage 2 (U12 and U13) - 30 over one-day games on 18m wicket, out is out format but all players participate due to batting rotations, retirements and shared bowling/keeping opportunities.

Junior Cricket Stage 3 (U14 to U17) - 30 over one-day games on full length wicket, traditional format with 50m boundaries - more runs scored. All players participate due to batting rotations, retirements and shared bowling/keeping opportunities.

Age cut offs for a particular grade is that a player must be under the age of the nominated age group as listed on 31 August of that playing season. For example to play U14s, your child needs to be 13 years of age or under as at 31 August 2025. However, players in the under 8/9 to under 11 (Junior Cricket Stage 1) age group should pick the format of cricket applicable to their skill level.

Training

Training times are determined by individual teams. All teams will have a kit that players can use gear from. New players to the club are provided with a playing and training shirt the first time they register.

Senior Cricket

Normanhurst caters for players of all ages and abilities. We will generally field at least one team somewhere in each of A, B and C grade in the HKHDCA competition. Last year we had an A grade, B grade and two C grade senior teams.

Fees

Normanhurst Cricket Club is not increasing the base fee that goes to the club and have not done so for the past 3 years. We do recognise that the Cricket Australia Fee has increased and the HKHDCA Fee is new.  But we are doing all we can to keep cricket accessible.

However, we are increasing fees by $20 to go towards a new specially designed playing shirt and a new specially designed training shirt to celebrate our 100th Season. These shirts are heavily subsidised by the Club.
